Cast Steel
Cast steel is a ferrous (iron-based) alloy with a maximum carbon content of approximately 0.75 percent. Steel castings are solid metal objects produced by filling the void within a mold with liquid steel. They are available in many of the same carbon and alloy steels that can be produced as wrought metals. Mechanical properties for cast steel are generally lower than wrought steels with the same chemical composition.

In its simplest form, concrete is a mixture of paste and aggregates, or rocks. The paste, composed of Portland cement and water, coats the surface of the fine (small) and coarse (larger) aggregates. Rice husk ash is one of the promising pozzolanic materials that can be blended with Portland cement for the production of durable concrete. . Rice husk ash mixed in Portland cement not only improves the early strength of concrete, but also forms a calcium silicate hydrate (CSH) gel around the cement particles which is highly dense and less porous.
